Growing up I never used face paint. Honestly, growing up hunting was a lot different than it is now. It was simple, much simpler before social media and staff positions/sponsorships. I loaded up 50 rainbow trout from the Ennis National Fish Hatchery and took them to our camp ground at the base of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness where several schools from the area had a field trip week. They learned about all the insides of a trout as well as the history of native trout and fish verses nonnative introduced fish of Montana. It was a very rewarding day to hang out with 8th graders who loved getting their hands dirty. But that isn’t what completely set apart that day from any other.

I stumbled upon it at my local fly shop last summer and figured, why not? I've tried so many other products this can't be any worse. Of course the label made me laugh, with a warning that says: If your fly stays up for more than 4 hours consult your local fly shop! Well, my fly didn't last 4 hours, but I caught about a dozen trout on our local river on the one fly until it came apart!
