RCG Product Review - Vanguard Pioneer 1600 RT Hunting Backpack
My Misson Was To Find A Hunting Backpack That Could Serve As A Great Overall Day Backpack. For All Hunters In Any Location That Was Both Comfortable Aand Durable.
Vanguard's Pioneer Collection of hunting bags includes backpacks, shoulder bags and a waist pack option. My choice was the backpack from Vanguard's Pioneer hunting bag selections they offer. The bags are offered in either forest green or the Realtree Xtra Camouflage design. The backpack line is available in Large (2100), Medium (1600) and Small (975) sizes. I am reviewing, for this article, the Pioneer 1600 RT.
I found it allowed gear to be carried in the field all day comfortably and securely. The water-repellent material is very durable, while the fabric remained soft and quiet due to its high count tricot fabric. These qualities alone are a "must-have" for all hunters.
Also, it featured a waterproof, zippered pocket for personal items, which gave easy access due to its bright orange zippers.
The simplicity of adjusting the straps with a simple pull at the bottom of the bag was very convenient. It is pre-marked for a small, medium, large or an X-Large shoulder strap fit. Once you adjust the shoulder straps for the perfect fit you just reattach the Velcro together which secures the straps. Then, push the adjustment back into the bottom of the bag. This backpack is amazingly comfortable to wear! Backpacks normally bother me because of the muscle and nerve damage in my upper body. I packed it full and added my shotgun and it was very well balanced.
