MEET LAUREN- THE FOUNDER
I love the outdoors and have been hunting, fishing, diving, and shooting my whole life. Daughter of a hunter, oldest of 7 siblings, sister to 4 brothers, wife of a Marine Corp Veteran and Police Officer, collegiate athlete and now mother to 3 little girls. My parents encouraged me to experience the outdoors and taught me that I could do anything.
These experiences gave me a confidence that not many women learn and educated me on how to take care of yourself in a primal sense. In additionally, I serve on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Safari Club International and Cornerstone Therapeutic Riding Center. I’m honored to continue protecting our freedom to hunt, supporting wildlife conservation and sustainability, and helping people fulfill their goals.
ReelCamo Girl was created to empower your outdoor passions and show women all over the world that they can still be feminine holding a rifle or bow. Our mission is to champion the fierce, sportswoman, who thrives on providing for her family, teaching others about ethical and responsible hunting and living out her passion as an outdoor enthusiast.
The internet has given us the ability to connect with others. Get on board! www.ReelCamoGirl.com
MEET THE TEAM
Erin grew up in the outdoors with her family in Oregon. Fishing with her dad and grandpa as a kid and living on the river she fell in love with it. Later in life she started hunting and hiking more and taking in all that she could. Late in life she became a deckhand in Alaska and says that hunting the bush is how she fell in love with big game hunting. Now a mom, Erin has been spending time passing along the tradition to her son and hoping to instill in him the love for the outdoors and hard work the way her family did for her. Whether it’s taking her four-year-old fishing or packing all 45 lbs of him in her steel pack up the mountain. Erin also loves Ultra running and fitness as well as hunting and fishing. She believes it is important to take care of yourself and for being truly efficient in the outdoor life. She has plans to open a lodge in the future and do more writing about the outdoors. Above all, she loves her family.

RACHEL VON FLECK
Rachel was born and raised in the suburbs of Southern California. Growing up, she was always a bit of a tomboy and loved all animals and the outdoors.
As a child she was horse-crazy and loved to ride. As much as she loves being outside, she has always had a tremendous passion for both the outdoors and for technology. As an adult, her love of technology led her to pursue computer programming and build a career in the technology field, in which she currently is a Project Manager for a web design company.
Although much of her childhood was spent running around outside, it wasn’t until her late teens that she got her first foot into the world of shooting, hunting, and fishing. Over the past few years, she has eagerly absorbed as much knowledge and experience as possible.
While she has only gone on small game and bird hunts to this day, she hopes to participate in her first archery big game hunt next season.
While she loves pretty much everything to do with nature, her first passion is fishing. From trout fishing to bass fishing to ocean fishing (and everything in between), each offers a unique challenge and level of skill one must attain. It’s a constant learning process and the enjoyment never ends. Fishing requires patience, passion, and perseverance.
Living a sustainable, outdoors lifestyle is also extremely important to her. She strongly believes in the ability to raise, hunt, and fish for her own food. Another important aspect in her life is fitness. Without fitness, many of these things would not be possible. Lifting weights and staying fit are important components in an active lifestyle.
Tarra was raised on a hog farm in Dearing, GA. Her love for the outdoors was instilled in her by living a country lifestyle. At age seven she was plowing fields on a tractor and hunting. In her late teens, she moved permanently to the upstate of SC for college and work opportunities. She is happily married and a mom to 2 Great Danes. In her twenties, she became interested in learning more about shooting handguns and became an SC Certified Pistol Instructor and teaches the required class to obtain your CWP. Along with being a NRA Instructor and teaching basic pistol and firearm classes her favorite pastime is hunting. For over a decade she has written 2A industry product reviews and articles. She continues to educate and train herself on firearms so she can share her knowledge with others.

BRI VAN SCOTTER
Bri was born and raised in Southern California. Her passion for the outdoors began at an early age. She grew up riding horses, camping, fishing and motorcycle riding with her family. She attended college at California State University Fullerton, where she earned a Bachelors in Communications. It wasn’t till after she graduated college that she decided to peruse her passion for cooking. Soon after she went on to graduate from the prestigious Culinary Institute of American in Napa Valley with a degree in Culinary Arts. Continuing her education she went on to graduate from The Art Institute of Orange County, with a degree in Baking and Pastry. Since then she as worked in fine dinning restaurants serving as Chef de Cuisine and Pastry Chef. Taking a break from restaurant life she went into food product development. With a passion to teach and the desire to share her culinary knowledge she went on to work as a chef instructor at her Alma Mater, The Art Institute.
It wasn’t until she and her husband moved to Georgia when she developed a passion for hunting the food she eats. Her husband bought her a bow for a hobby, but it turned into as big a passion for her as cooking. Since then Bri has become a dedicated hunter and chef in search of the most pure, non GMO and organic meat possible. It’s this passion that lead her to create her website Wilderness to Table, where she sheds light on hunting and showcases delicious wild game recipes.
In between working full time on Wilderness to Table, raising their daughter and training their Bird dog Remi, Bri also makes custom cakes, chocolates and pastries for clients. If she’s not hunting, fishing or cooking she can be found working out, traveling, paddle boarding or on horse back! Gabriella is a media strategist and consultant based in the Washington D.C., metro area. Growing up in Southern California inspired her to develop her love of fishing and spending time in the outdoors. She is a proud angler and gun owner. She plans to learn how to hunt in the near future.
Jessalyn is located in Northeast Ohio. Raised a Daddy’s little girl, she was out in the woods, field, and on the water harvesting wildlife at an early age. In the off season she enjoys being out on the lake fishing. Through this upbringing she has gained a love and respect for wild game. As a new mom, she has taken up hiking in an effort to create as much time in nature for her young daughter as possible. She is a firm believer in starting children young in the great outdoors with respect for nature as well as themselves. For Jessalyn being a huntress isn’t about a trophy kill. It is about providing clean natural food for her family. She thinks there is no greater feeling than knowing God has blessed you with the ability to call in a flock of birds or watching deer work their way in from a tree stand. Harvesting wildlife is a true gift not only for the meat provided, but for the life lessons that are also taught along the way. Dedication, patience, and respect are the most important values to her.
Chelsie grew up in a small town in Central Utah where she learned to love the outdoors. She was taught how to clean her first deer at the age of six and today she teaches and helps others out in the field. Her love for the outdoors never went away as she grew older and that is what brought her and her husband together. Today they do everything together from fly fishing to elk hunting and everything in between.
She is a Doggy Mom to two awesome pups, Remi and Maizy, who have been trained to hunt waterfowl and upland game by her and her husband. When Chelsie isn’t being a Doggy Mom and hunting with her husband you can find her working hard towards her goal of being a Flight Medic. Her and her husband also own a European Mount business that keeps them busy during the fall.
Chelsie also enjoys ice fishing, shed hunting, and riding horses with her Grampa. Her love for the mountains keeps her going back for more adventures each week.
Cherri grew up hunting, fishing and spending time at the deer lease and lake house with her family. As a child, catching perch with cousins and listening to hunting stories around a campfire were some of her favorite pastimes. Wing-shooting and waterfowl hunting are Cherri’s favorite types of hunting now. This type of hunting is done with other people, while moving around, and there’s lots of shooting and talking while bird hunting. She likes the challenge of moving targets and trying to out-shoot the other hunters in the field. She finds this exciting and it feeds her competitive nature. She does like to deer and turkey hunt, but both require that the hunter be very still and quiet. These were never her strong suits. After teaching 2nd Grade, Cherri spent years working for an award-winning affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful by providing Environmental Education for the six school districts and private schools serving Angelina County. During those years, her love and respect for nature and the outdoors blossomed, as did sharing the importance of being a good steward of our environment and the wildlife it sustains. Today, after having been retired almost 10 years, Cherri is able to spend more time traveling and pursuing her love of hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. She now has the time, energy, and tenacity to address larger groups of young women to influence and impress upon them the importance of maintaining our right to hunt and how important it is to hunt ethically and responsibly, all the while being mindful of our beautiful natural surroundings.
KAITLIN POTTER PHELPS
Kaitlin was born and raised on a farm in Northern Utah. As a young girl, she spent her time riding horses, fourwheelers, fishing, and helping with farm chores. She spent weekends shooting clay pigeons off her families back porch and shooting ‘pot-guts’ with her siblings from the old farm truck. She and her siblings were always competing to be the ‘top shooter’. As she got older, her love of competition pushed her to compete in many sports arenas. She enjoyed running and competed in track and field, which opened the door for her to join the US Junior Olympic Skeleton Team. Through skeleton racing, she was able to travel to many different countries and developed a love for travel.
While competing, and attending college at the U of U, she met and fell in love with her now husband, who had a great love for the outdoors as well. As a tomboy, it only seems fitting that she now has 4 boys of her own and enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors with them. She and her family find any opportunity they can to be outdoors together.
She has deep sea fished in Costa Rica and recently returned from a week long hunting trip to South Africa. She loves being able to combine her love of hunting and travel.
She believes that growing up on a farm gave her a great appreciation for hard work and the world around us. To her, hunting is more than a sport, its a way of life. ‘We’re challenging ourselves and were challenging nature. The two greatest forces on the planet.”
Her goal is raise her boys with the same appreciation and respect for the great outdoors.
