I love the outdoors and have been hunting, fishing, diving, and shooting my whole life. Daughter of a hunter, oldest of 7 siblings, sister to 4 brothers, wife of a Marine Corp Veteran and Police Officer, collegiate athlete and now mother to 3 little girls. My parents encouraged me to experience the outdoors and taught me that I could do anything.

These experiences gave me a confidence that not many women learn and educated me on how to take care of yourself in a primal sense. In additionally, I serve on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Safari Club International and Cornerstone Therapeutic Riding Center. I’m honored to continue protecting our freedom to hunt, supporting wildlife conservation and sustainability, and helping people fulfill their goals.

ReelCamo Girl was created to empower your outdoor passions and show women all over the world that they can still be feminine holding a rifle or bow.  Our mission is to champion the fierce, sportswoman, who thrives on providing for her family, teaching others about ethical and responsible hunting and living out her passion as an outdoor enthusiast.

The internet has given us the ability to connect with others.  Get on board! www.ReelCamoGirl.com

CHERRI TEUTSCH

Cherri grew up hunting, fishing and spending time at the deer lease and lake house with her family. As a child, catching perch with cousins and listening to hunting stories around a campfire were some of her favorite pastimes. Wing-shooting and waterfowl hunting are Cherri’s favorite types of hunting now. This type of hunting is done with other people, while moving around, and there’s lots of shooting and talking while bird hunting. She likes the challenge of moving targets and trying to out-shoot the other hunters in the field. She finds this exciting and it feeds her competitive nature. She does like to deer and turkey hunt, but both require that the hunter be very still and quiet. These were never her strong suits. After teaching 2nd Grade, Cherri spent years working for an award-winning affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful by providing Environmental Education for the six school districts and private schools serving Angelina County. During those years, her love and respect for nature and the outdoors blossomed, as did sharing the importance of being a good steward of our environment and the wildlife it sustains. Today, after having been retired almost 10 years, Cherri is able to spend more time traveling and pursuing her love of hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. She now has the time, energy, and tenacity to address larger groups of young women to influence and impress upon them the importance of maintaining our right to hunt and how important it is to hunt ethically and responsibly, all the while being mindful of our beautiful natural surroundings.

Kaitlin was born and raised on a farm in Northern Utah. As a young girl, she spent her time riding horses, fourwheelers, fishing, and helping with farm chores. She spent weekends shooting clay pigeons off her families back porch and shooting ‘pot-guts’ with her siblings from the old farm truck. She and her siblings were always competing to be the ‘top shooter’. As she got older, her love of competition pushed her to compete in many sports arenas. She enjoyed running and competed in track and field, which opened the door for her to join the US Junior Olympic Skeleton Team. Through skeleton racing, she was able to travel to many different countries and developed a love for travel.

While competing, and attending college at the U of U, she met and fell in love with her now husband, who had a great love for the outdoors as well. As a tomboy, it only seems fitting that she now has 4 boys of her own and enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors with them. She and her family find any opportunity they can to be outdoors together.

She has deep sea fished in Costa Rica and recently returned from a week long hunting trip to South Africa. She loves being able to combine her love of hunting and travel.

She believes that growing up on a farm gave her a great appreciation for hard work and the world around us. To her, hunting is more than a sport, its a way of life. ‘We’re challenging ourselves and were challenging nature. The two greatest forces on the planet.”

Her goal is raise her boys with the same appreciation and respect for the great outdoors.

Kaitlin is also our ReelCamo Girl photographer.
