My First Opening Day
Early Opening Morning,
As I walked to the blind,
The stars were so bright,
As no other kind.
I set up and wait,
For the wild game to come out,
My patience growing thin,
But that's what hunting is all about.
I admire God's beauty,
With my bow in hand,
And can't help but think,
How he created this land.
I love God's Country,
And I always will,
The peace and serenity,
Is very surreal.
