RCG Crafts- Feather Wreaths
I purchased a grape vine wreath from Hobby Lobby for $5. It takes several sticks of hot glue and many feathers, depending on how detailed you want your wreath. This particular one has peacock, turkey and quail. You can also get the center items from the craft store or from bits and pieces you may have collected from your own area. I have used antlers, turkey beards, old barb wire fencing, acorns, pine cones, ect, ect.
Start by going around the wreath with the larger feathers. You might need to trim down the length to make the curve. Add layers of different colors and shapes. I put my center piece work on before I start my feather work. I never have a set outcome…I usually just “wing” it.
I’ve made several of these, for myself because several have asked for the one on the front door, and for some of my taxidermy customers with feathers from their harvest.
