Chicken Kitchen

Everyone has different ways of making chicken tortellini and everyone has very different tastes.

With a family of 6 I need to be able to make something quickly so I have to cheat just a bit.

Usually I will just look around the kitchen and add things so today’s recipe is just simple items

that were in my freezer and cupboard.

First I start by making my noodles- I buy the frozen tortellini noodles with the cheese in them

and boil them up. Due to my family size I also get some egg noodles and cook them up to give

more noodles. You can use any kind of noodles you want but I like the cheese in them.

Make your noodles the way that you like them and cook them how you want them for

tenderness. Drain and put aside.

Cook up your chicken - I had portioned mine up earlier in the year and had added fresh

rosemary when I had vacuumed sealed and it gives you that little extra taste to it. Cut it into

cubes ( I usually do it when its frozen as it is easier to handle). Cook until done and put aside- I

usually put mine in a metal bowl and cover so that is stays hot and doesn’t lose its flavor or

moistness ( I think that is a word)

Next I put my veggies of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in my instant ( which by the way I

love) . If you don’t have a instapot- you can use your microwave or steam them. Just don’t

keep them in there too long otherwise the flavor will leave.

This is where I really cheated with the white sauce- usually I would make my own but its been

crazy with work so I bought some and here we are.

After everything is done cooking- add the chicken and sauce to both sets of noodles into a big

pot. Stir well and serve. If you want to add the veggies you can do it and mix it all up but I Find

that it makes the veggies mushy and not very tasty. I then add the shredded cheese and put in

the over to melt the cheese or because its still warm just let it melt naturally.

And something good to eat- yummy.. Add garlic bread to the side and its awesome. ( my kids

were eating the bread before I could get the picture so no pic)
