Mantis X10 Elite Performance System Review
The Mantis X10 Elite is the newest version from Mantis that is practically universal. It’s designed to work with handguns, rifles, shotguns, and the best part, bows!
The Mantis X10 Elite is the very first of its kind to include all different types of weapons for training. It also does both dry and live firing as well!
The X10 Elite module can attach to any firearm with the different adapters and I have had the opportunity to try it on my Bennelli 20 gauge, .270 Winchester, and my Kimber .380 Auto Micro. The Mantis worked perfect and attached easily! I don’t own a bow, but I attached it to my daughter's play bow and arrow and it picked up on that just the same.
So now that we've talked about how it can be used with about any weapon, what is jt? The Mantis X10 Elite is a super small device designed to attach to your weapon of choice. It can be used for dry fire, live fire, bow shooting and I have even hear you can use it on CO2 powered guns! How cool is that!! The small device hooks to your phone via Bluetooth and sends the information to the app for review.
The Mantis app can be found in the Play store or Apple Store and gives you the option to choose which weapon you will be practicing with. The app gives you many options on how you oriented the device, how to set up your fire arm, and it even gives you the option on how you will be training with it.
The app is great because it records everything. During each training session it will create a profile and save everything to that profile. Don't worry, multiple profiles can be made to track your progress! The app comes with multiple drills not only for rifle and pistol but for basic open training as well. I found these extremely useful and I can't wait to practice with them more!
One thing I really love about the app is how the shotgun portion detects how you swing the gun. I have a hard time getting ahead of birds and clays and seeing why I am having a hard time reflected in the app is an eye opener. Practice with this app will make permanent changes to how I think about leading a clay or bird. I am super excited about that!
The best thing about this app is how versatile and easy it is. The app walks you through everything and is step by step and the Bluetooth connected faster than any other device I own. The device attaches to any weapon easily and stays there. I love that the recoil doesn't kick it off as well. All in all I'd say you can go wrong with the Mantis X10 training device. Especially if you hunt a bunch of different seasons and want to practice in the off-season!
