MEET LINDSAY:   For me, hunting is more than a hobby. It is a passion, a lifestyle. Hunting is hardwork and dedication recognized. It is a never-ending challenge, a test of both skill and self-control.

I have been hunting ever since I can remember. My dad had me up on the mountain with him before I could walk. I had an immediate love for hunting and the outdoors, but my passion for hunting really ignited when I was able to harvest my first deer at the age of 12.
The mountains are what I would consider home. I have made thousands of memories with my family and friends up on top of mountains. I hope to be able to pass those memories on to the next generation.

Lindsay is also ProStaff for the following companies: G5 Outdoors, Prime Bow Chic, Carter Enterprises, Gold Tip, Q2i Archery, Bow Fit, and Droptine Outdoors.

Contest Entry Essay:

I was born and raised in a small town in southeast Idaho. My dad was blessed with two daughters and no sons, and as a result, I grew up doing everything that a dad would take his sons to do. I lived in the mountains before I could even walk, with one of my first words being “dirt.” imagejpeg_0-1I begged my dad for a bow and arrow when I was a toddler, and he finally gave me my very own at the age of 4. I started shooting local 3d tournaments on the weekends, and my skill level steadily increased. Lindsay2-1I soon began competing in state, national, and even world events, but being on the mountain was my true love. My passion for the outdoors was immediate, but it grew even more so when I was able to harvest my first deer at the age of 12. I was hooked. Since then, I have been hunting in several different states, and even Mexico. I am constantly thinking about my next hunting trip, with my ultimate dream job being to hunt for a living. I currently work two jobs so that I can afford my hunting habit. I am the most hardcore huntress that I know, with my sister being a close second. I feel that I would be a good candidate for this competition because I like a good challenge. If at the end of the day I haven’t challenged myself, then I haven’t done enough.
