Check, Check, Check

Idea for company, check. Company name, check.  Business plan, check.  Logo, check. Domain name, check. FBN, check. Seller's Permit, check. Facebook, check.  Instagram, check.  Twitter, check. You get the idea.... Wow. Starting a company is so much harder than I thought.

I had an idea...a good one at least I think. I have an MBA and experience in branding, sales and marketing. I thought I pretty much had what it took to start a business. No problem, right?

Wrong.

There is so much I didn't know and still don't know. Blogging for one. WordPress, Tumblr...huh? Yikes. I also need a class just to be able to convert logos. The Photoshop Elements now is much different than from what I remembered. I wonder if they offer classes for those of us marketing professionals who just missed the social media revolution.

Retail? Who could have though there was so much to it? So many questions I didn't (and don't) know to even ask. I consider myself a PinkCamo girl. I am strong, educated and confident. I've been called a "Boss" before. I am still not quite sure what that is, but I think it's a good thing in these types of situations. However, when it comes to which style or color t-shirt to put my logo on it takes me forever to decide. It is with the grace of God and the patience of several good friends (who get multiple screen shot texts a day) that I am able to finally make the simple decisions.
