Ladies Week at Bear Camp

For the last few years I've been trying to get a ladies bear hunt lined up in Northern Saskatchewan and although it's been close a couple times it never came together. 

Until a good friend of mine took over Whitegull Outfitters and asked if I would like to team up and get a group of girls together and hunt some spring black bear!   I jumped at the chance ! We immediately began advertising for the first Prois ladies bear hunt at WGO and filled 5 spots. 

The planning and organizing and worrying was all worth it when the week of June 6 arrived and we all met at bear camp ! 

Day 1 - sisters Cara & Alyssa Munton both doubled down and tagged out on a beautiful blonde as well as a black bear.   Both first time bears for the girls!

I tagged out on the Saturday of that week after sitting every night waiting for a big bugger who just wouldn't commit, however I still got a beautiful black bear which is my new personal best ! 

The other 2 girls were Jenna (sister #3) who is hopefully going to get the job done this fall and Jennifer who is moving her hunt to next year when Whitegull Outfitters, together with Prois clothing & Euro Mounter skull mounts are once again putting on a Ladies week for the 2nd year!
