Quality, Clarity and Accuracy with Blackhound
Optics are an important part of your hunt or your shooting sport whether it be your range finder, your favorite binos or the scope mounted on your rifle. If your optics are subpar then more than likely your shooting is going to be compromised in one way or another.
Being able to pick up your rifle, pull it into your shoulder with confidence, take a deep breath before you squeeze the trigger and know you’re going to hit your mark excites any gunner. The ability to hit your target is so important, it doesn’t matter if it is paper, steel or a game animal.
Blackhound optics based in the United States out of Georgia designs mid-grade scopes for your rifle and your next adventure whether it’s out plinking some rounds for the day, hunting to fill your freezer or competitive shooting. Blackhound is a newer company in the industry but has quickly grown and made their mark with exceptional customer service, their warranty and overall their product.
Each scope is packaged nicely with everything you need to get it mounted for that adventure that awaits. Blackhound provides the following with each scope purchase:
· Cantilever Picatinny Scope Mount
· Scope Hoods (applicable models)
· Mounting Levels
· Scope Caps
· All Necessary Tools
· Cleaning Tool
· Lens Cloth
· Stickers (That’s a fun bonus)
One thing I will suggest is to use your personal tools to mount your scope although they provide the necessary tools. I found that I actually needed a different sized Allen wrench to properly mount my scope securely to avoid stripping the bolts or causing damage than what was included.
In the past when it has come to optics, we have always spent money on top of the line brands for many reasons and we have never been left disappointed. Blackhound being a midline scope optics company has impressed us with what they offer with their affordable price point. My husband and I found that this scope was accurate which in turn provides us with the added confidence we are seeking when headed out on a hunt to fill the freezer.
These scopes are set up to provide you success once you’re locked and loaded. Blackhound optics has quality glass for their price point, and has provided various reticles on their difference scope models. Each reticle is illuminated and easy to use.
We went with the Genesis 1-8×28 FFP MOA scope and mounted it on our 450 Bushmaster which is an AR platform. This specific scope comes with the HALO2 reticle which is often a popular reticle for many as it can be used for a wide range when it comes to shooting. This specific reticle is great for up close and personal situations as well as shots out to 400 yards.
It has a fully adjustable illuminated reticle that works good day or night with an on/off option. Clarity of the optic itself is nice, crisp and clear making your focus downrange just what you want it to be. Plus you get 25 MOA per rotation, elevation/windage adjustments and capped turrets.
Although this optic itself is on the larger size which is understandable for a 1-8, it provides a wide field of view. Mounting is quick and easy! Once mounted it is solid, the mounts provided are strong and are even detailed with the Blackhound logo! As you can see Blackhound has offered up quite the package for its price point.
One last thing that is hard to find with companies these days is a decent warranty. Blackhound states, “Blackhound Optics stands behind our products, and provides a fully-transferable warranty on all materials and workmanship, for the lifetime of your rifle scope. If your scope is defective, fails to perform, or suffers non-cosmetic damage that affects its function, during normal use – we will replace your scope at no charge to you!” Now, after reading that, what are you waiting for? Head over and get your next scope ordered, adventure awaits. http://https://www.blackhoundoptics.com/
